Time to Re-evaluate

Jesus said to them, “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. (Luke 10:13)

There is always a time for everything, a time to move and a time to wait. As always, I wait for Your precise time O Lord!

Each time we experience the Lord's deeds and acts done in our midst, we should readily respond for such is His way for us to re-evaluate our current state and condition in the light of His revelation.

God's ways are not our ways. We may be brought low or in ruins just so we may realize our need and dependence on Him. When all things fail and we are faced with destructive and devastating calamities that are beyond our control, we turn to God for help. In passing through the storms of life, we remember the Lord but during the peak of our successes in life, we tend to forget the Lord.

Today is the fitting time to re-evaluate ourselves on how we respond for every act and deed done by the Lord. Are we submissive to His will or disobedient to His word if it does not seem to fit our taste?

Lord Jesus, You have done and continue to do great things that makes my joy full and complete. Please forgive me for the countless times when I did not heed to Your voice. When things gets rough, I turn to You for help but when things are turning good, I tend to be more reluctant in guarding against the evil temptations of the world. Please be with me at all times for only You can bring out the best in me. With much love and full of thanksgiving and praise I humbly pray. Amen.
