Forward Looking

“No one who sets a hand
to the plow and looks to what was left behind
is fit for the Kingdom of God.”
(Luke 9:62)

In following Jesus there is no if's nor but's. There should be no room for any uncertainties. It is always forward looking to glorious days ahead.

What we say in moments of emotional highs may not be really what we mean when we are at our lowest. To journey with the Lord means never looking back or holding on to your past or present condition. We must always fixed our mind and heart to follow Jesus wherever He leads us.

No one can turn back the hands of time. We should leave all things that are already past behind us and be more concerned on what is at hand. What is done is done. Instead of allowing ourselves to be stuck on matters or undertakings that are already done, we should always move forward and not backwards.

God sets our hand to the plow and to look to where we are going and not to what was left behind. Let us always be fit for the work at hand and look forward to those that are coming.

Lord Jesus, we set our eyes on You alone who is the one true giver of all great and marvelous things. Be our wisdom, strength and voice to boldly proclaim Your word with much spirit and conviction. May Your Spirit constantly guide us to look forward and not behind, to hope rather than despair, to trust rather than lose faith.

We know that our best interest is always paramount to You and You will never allow us to loose focus on our goals and dreams in life. Thank You so much for Your unceasing and unconditional love that surrounds us each passing day. All glory and honor are Yours now and forever!  Amen.
