"So I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven;
hence, she has shown great love.
But the one to whom little is forgiven, loves little.”
He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
(Luke 7:47-48)
Forgiveness is a gift of grace not earned. Live Free to express your love for God and for others.
Prudence dictates that after receiving forgiveness and freedom from the Lord, we should re-examine our goals and priorities if they are truly aligned or in accordance with God's will and purpose. Are we now starting on the right foot or have become complacent to truly amending our wrongful ways and habitual sins.
While it is true that forgiveness of sins is a grace and gift that only comes from the Lord, we should not be comfortable with sin. Our great love for the Lord is shown on how we unselfishly give everything we have. Having received forgiveness and freedom is not business as usual. It should be seriously taken as a life changing event. A life of offering, devotion, and service to the Lord regardless on how other people looks upon us or perceives us to be.
We should not be judgmental of others thinking that we are better than them. No one is spared from sin except the Lord. We are all sinners who are always in dire need of the Lord's mercy and forgiveness.
Lord Jesus, I do confess that I am a sinner who is always in dire need of Your mercy and forgiveness. In spite of my faults, failings, and flaws, You still embrace me with Your love and compassion.
You have given me this heart of love for God our Father through You who is the very life that is in me. Thank You so much for Your gift of forgiveness and the great intense of my love for You. All glory, honor, and praise are Yours now and forever! Amen.
