"Remove the wooden beam from your eye first;
then you will see clearly to remove
the splinter in your brother’s eye.”
(Luke 6:42)
Foresight and Hindsight - Hindsight refers to the understanding of past events, while foresight is the ability to anticipate and plan for future events.
How can I see clearly if something is blocking my own eyesight?
The most logical thing to do is to first have them corrected so that my vision will be clear. Only then can drive clearly and invite others to ride along with me.
It is very easy for us to find fault in others where in fact, we do not first look upon our own larger mistakes. Looking at the mirror, weu might even be shocked to see that we are more terrible than what we perceive or judge others to be.
Let us be honest with ourselves. The truth is there are far a lot more overhauling to be done in us before we can allow others to ride with us. We need to have a clear vision of ourselves before we look into the faults or shortcomings of others.
Lord Jesus, You have given me the eyes that see things the way it should be. Looking at myself, I see a lot of faults, mistakes, failings, and wrongful thoughts, acts, and deeds.
Have mercy on me O Lord for I am a sinner. Please forgive me for the times when I seem to look at myself as the better person where in truth and in fact, I am no different or even far worse than those whom I pre-judge as bad persons. Help me to always look upon the good of others rather than dwelling on the negative side.
My upcoming journey has begun to be clear. Life in Christ - A Journey of Foresight and Hindsight. Thank You so much for Your guiding wisdom and grace, capturing my thoughts and the true intents of my heart. All glory, honor, and praise are Yours now and forever! Amen.
