“Put out into deep water
and lower your nets for a catch”
(Luke 5:4).
“Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing, but at your command I will lower the nets.” (Lk 5:5)
I may have worked tirelessly to bring to fulfillment all of my dreams, wishes, and aspirations but still, things don't seem to fit. Am I missing the mark? What is it that I still lack?
Today, the Lord reveals that I am in the right spot but have gone to do things my own way and not in accordance with His will and purpose. This is the reason why my bag still remains empty. I have not cast my net deep enough to where the abundant catch awaits.
Big fishes doesn't swim in shallow waters. If we want to catch big time, we should go deeper. Same thing true with our faith in the Lord. Even in seemingly impossible situations, we should always obey His word believing and trusting that only God can turn our nothing into something.
Lord Jesus, apart from You I am nothing but by Your word, I can turn into something great. Be my strength O Lord to obey and follow Your will so that I may be able to go deeper in faith where abundance and fruitfulness await. Always open my heart and mind to Your revelations so that I may always be grounded by Your word and live by it.
